WEP-30L – new indoor Wi-Fi 6 access point

New indoor access point WEP-30L designed for enterprise networks has been launched into serial production.

The new model offers the advantages of the Wi-Fi 6 standard, which make it a good choice to wireless enterprise networks deployment, automation of production and creation of a full-fledged workspace in accordance with the "all-wireless office" concept.

Interfaces

WEP-30L connects to the network via Ethernet cable at rate of up to 2.5 Gbps. Data and power are provided over the same wire due to PoE support.

The access point operates in two bands simultaneously – in 2.4 and 5 GHz and supports IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax standards. Aggregate maximum performance – up to 1.7 Gbps.

Wi-Fi 6 capabilities

To increase the performance of wireless connection, WEP-30L supports major Wi-Fi 6 technologies such as OFDMA, 1024QAM modulation and MU-MIMO 2×2. Due to this, the connection quality is comparable to wired – large amounts of data can be handled, multi-user 4K video conferences can be conducted, and other resource-intensive tasks can be performed over a Wi-Fi network.

Recommended maximum number of simultaneous connections is up to 100 client devices, with high data transmission rates provided for each.

Seamless roaming

Thanks to IEEE 802.11r/k/v standard, all WEP-30L access points in the enterprise can be combined into a unified seamless Wi-Fi network. Switching from one access point to another will be almost imperceptible^* and will not affect content consumption or online communication in any way.

* Up to 3 ms for client devices with support for the same standard.

Security and access

WEP-30L intrusion protection is provided by WPA2/WPA3 protocols. UP-to-date WPA3 protocol provides new protection capabilities in enterprise wireless networks due to complex data encryption.

Employees can securely connect to corporate Wi-Fi using WPA2/WPA3 Enterprise** centralized authorization through a RADIUS server. Authorization via Captive Portal is also available.

** WPA3 Enterprise will be available in upcoming software updates.

Management

In the corporate environment, WEP-30L can be managed using Eltex SoftWLC software controller or WLC-30 hardware controller. Network administrators will receive the necessary tools to centrally manage all access points of the enterprise through a single interface. This will simplify the configuration, monitoring, and updating of devices, which is crucial when dealing with a large number of network devices and users. Additionally, management options through web interface, Telnet, SSH, SNMP, CLI, and NETCONF are also available.
