VP-20 — ELTEX IP phone with extended functionality

It is an IP phone of enterprise level with wide application possibilities. VP-20 is going to be released for pre-production in May 2022. PoE and basic models of VP-20 IP phone will be available.

Display

VP-20 is the top model in the ELTEX IP phone family with a color LCD display. Its resolution is 800×480 px (WVGA) with a diagonal of 4.3 inches. The high pixel density and cus-tomizable backlighting make it easy to read incoming information from the display even when using the phone for a long time.

Ergonomics, usability

The materials and good ergonomics of VP-20 casing and handset make the phone com-fortable to use. The material is a durable matt plastic that prevents the handset from slipping out during a long call. The detachable two-position stand will help you to place VP-20 on the table or virtually upright.

The phone has a symmetrical front panel design. This makes it easy to memorize key posi-tions and execute operations quickly.

Dynamic assignment of functions to programmable keys contributes to the speed of work with the IP phone. VP-20 has 10 programmable keys. They support line status monitoring of oth-er subscribers by means of light indicators (BLF).

VP-20 has all necessary features for convenient work: speakerphone, conference, SIP-accounts (VP-20 can handle up to 6), ringtone setting, local and remote phonebook handling, mi-crophone muting, call hold, headset switching, voice and text messages handling etc. On both sides of the dial pad there are 8 keys with light indicators for quick access to the most used ones.

Expanded functionality

Additional key programming options are available in VP-20 expansion console, which will be available in 4th quarter of 2022. The console will have a color display, 22 status keys (includ-ing BLF) and 3 keys for page sectioning. This will allow up to 66 records to be stored on one console. Up to three such consoles can be connected to VP-20 via the RJ22 connector.

VP-20 has an RJ-9 port for the connection of a headset. VP-20 is the right solution for call center operators and all operators, who are in constant line-side control and have to use PC at the same time.

Technical features

VP-20 offers a state-of-the-art processor and large memory capacity which gives the user a wealth of versatility and performance. VP-20 supports all major VoIP audio codecs, QoS 802.1p and DSCP prioritization and echo cancellation, silence detection, DTMF reception and signal generation. This is important, for example, in an audio conference where all participants need to be heard clearly.

VP-20 supports up to 3 participants in a local audio conference and an unlimited number of participants in a remote conference.

VP-20 built-in switch allows you to bridge telephones and computers onto the same LAN cable. As a result, there is more space at your desk and no unnecessary wires. At the same time VP-20 does not limit the network access speed: both for IP phone and computer it will be up to 1 Gbps. VP-20 can also upload and download large data files and connect to cloud services fast via gigabit port.

Management, monitoring and security

VP-20 can be managed and monitored via web interface, desktop assistant, SSH and ECSS-10 Softswitch. Diagnostics are performed via the web interface and syslog. With ELTEX Autoprovision, software updates and auto-updates are available.

VP-20 supports both static and dynamic (DHCP) network connectivity. VLAN capabili-ties enhance the security of VP-20 use in private networks.

ELTEX has thus created an IP phone that can meet most enterprise customers' needs. VP-20 is easy to use and configure, has the ability to connect up to 6 SIP accounts and expand usage scenarios with a console and headset. It has the features required in a constantly changing busi-ness environment that needs to communicate with large numbers of people quickly and to send and receive large volumes of data.
