More Solutions for Enterprise Wi-Fi 7

Eltex is expanding its enterprise Wi-Fi 7 product line and launching mass production of two access points: WEP-500K and WEP-50L. The new models are designed for different workload profiles, from high-density networks with heavy traffic to typical office and commercial environments. Both models are developed and manufactured in Russia. They are based on the IEEE 802.11be standard and support MLO, 4096-QAM modulation, and seamless 802.11r/k/v roaming.

MLO (Multi-Link Operation) allows compatible client devices to use multiple links simultaneously. Depending on the capabilities of the client device, this can increase connection speed and stability while reducing latency. 4096-QAM modulation increases data rates when signal quality is sufficient.

Support for 802.11r/k/v helps client devices switch between access points faster, which is especially important in environments where users are constantly moving within the coverage area.

WEP-500K operates in three frequency bands: 2.4, 5, and 6 GHz. It uses 2×2 MU-MIMO in the 2.4 GHz band and 3×3 MU-MIMO in the 5 and 6 GHz bands. In the 6 GHz band, the access point supports channel widths of up to 320 MHz.

The additional frequency band and wider channels increase the available wireless capacity. A single access point supports up to 1,024 simultaneous client connections, with a peak data rate of up to 8,647 Mbps in the 6 GHz band. This makes the access point suitable for environments where hundreds of devices may be active on the wireless network at the same time, including open-plan offices, business centers, classrooms, hotels, retail spaces, and conference and exhibition halls.

The access point features 2.5G and 1G interfaces for connecting to the wired infrastructure. PoE+ simplifies installation: a single Ethernet cable is enough to provide both data connectivity and power.

WEP-50L is designed for typical environments where affordability, ease of deployment, and support for the latest wireless standard are important. The model operates in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands and features two radio interfaces with 2×2 MU-MIMO.

The stated data rate reaches 688 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band and 2,882 Mbps in the 5 GHz band. The access point supports MLO and 4096-QAM, allowing customers to use Wi-Fi 7 technologies not only in high-load areas of the network, but also in large-scale deployments.

WEP-50L supports up to 119 connections*. The access point is designed for offices, meeting rooms, small hotels, educational and government institutions, retail stores, and other facilities with everyday network loads. The access point features 2.5G and 1G ports and is also powered via PoE+.

WEP-500K, WEP-50L, and the flagship WEP-550K can be combined within a single infrastructure and used in areas with different performance requirements. For example, the flagship model can be installed in a large conference hall, WEP-500K in open-plan office spaces, and WEP-50L in offices and meeting rooms.

The access points are managed through WLC hardware controllers or the vWLC software controller. Administrators can centrally configure the wireless network, apply unified policies, monitor equipment status, and update devices. This approach makes it possible to expand the infrastructure gradually and select equipment for specific areas while maintaining a unified management system.
