Wi-Fi 6 for manufacturing: introducing an industrial access point for extreme conditions

We are expanding our wireless infrastructure product line and launching production of the new industrial access point WOP-30LI. This is a reliable solution for building Wi-Fi networks in challenging environments. The device is designed taking into account the needs of enterprises operating in aggressive environments, and meets today's requirements for performance, security and flexibility of implementation.

WOP-30LI is perfectly suited for operation in harsh climates, open industrial sites, mining facilities, northern regions, and other challenging environments. Its IP67-rated enclosure reliably protects internal components from dust, moisture, precipitation, and temperature fluctuations — the device operates within a wide temperature range of –45 to +65 °C.

The new access point operates in two frequency bands (2.4 and 5 GHz) and supports the latest Wi-Fi 6 standard (802.11ax), including MU-MIMO 2х2 and OFDMA technologies. The device delivers a total data transfer rate of up to 1,775 Mbps.

To enhance scalability and infrastructure flexibility, the access point is equipped with four ports — two copper RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet and two optical SFP (1G). The solution allows for connecting peripheral devices as well as organizing a cascaded network.

One of the key features of the WOP-30LI is support for multiple power supply options: PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) and DC (12–56 V). This is especially important for industrial environments where power may be supplied either via Ethernet cable or from separate sources, depending on the available infrastructure.

The WOP-30LI supports a wide range of security technologies, including WPA2/WPA3 Enterprise with centralized authentication via a RADIUS server (802.1X). This ensures compatibility with corporate security policies and enables reliable traffic protection even in distributed network environments.
