The EVI Platform major update and other new Eltex products

In September, we are introducing a series of our software significant updates. The EVI video surveillance platform, ECCM network equipment management system, and Eltex IP cameras software have been updated to new versions. Let us tell you in more detail what we have added in the new release.

We have released a major update to EVI, a software platform for building video surveillance and analytics systems. The new version provides businesses with more tools for security and access control.

Main changes:

• updated interface: new "Monitoring" and "Archive" pages, redesigned admin start page, sidebar, easy viewing of recordings;
• newtypes of video analytics:recognition of squarelicenseplate numbers,detection of entryandexitfrom the territory and crossing the line;
• PACS changes: implemented a controller update system, added new events (long opening of the gate and long opening of the barrier), expanded the list of devices for digital inputs (emergency exit button and battery), the operational log is divided into an alarm log and a general log;
• clientenhancements:added a button to exitfullscreenmodein the video player(Linux)and a buttonwith a drop-down list of viewsforquickswitching,thearchivetimelinenowmarks the beginning of the

Currently, plans for the development of EVI include the implementation of video analytics without PACS, analysis of archived data, anti–sabotage, support for detecting various types of objects (bicycles, animals, masks, uniforms), inter-camera tracking, analytics for retail in the form of counting people and heat maps.

A firmware update has been released for the Eltex IP cameras, increasing the stability of operation and compatibility with the analytical tools of the EVI Platform. Improved support for data transfer protocols, optimized performance under high load conditions. The update affected the project and channel cameras: SV-BA301-E, SV-BA314-E, SV-BA401-E and SV-BA414-E.

Main updates:

• working with SD cards in the webclient(warning about the necessity to format the card and notification of the absence of the card, the ability to save files on a PC, data storage management);
• integration of audio into previews in the web interface;
• ability to disable the IR illumination in the web interface;
• display of the current NTP server in the web interface;
• advanced night mode features;
• new video analytics tools: people counting, face recognition, area and line crossing monitoring, motion and objects by type of person detection.

ECCM (Eltex Cloud Configuration Manager), a system for centralized management of network equipment, has been updated. The new version 2.2 has expanded the management and monitoring capabilities of broadband and wireless equipment.

New version updates:

• support for secure configuration of switches (Replace Config). If an invalid configuration is loaded on the device, the device automatically rolls back to the previous configuration version.
• monitoring of the ME5000M trunk router basket. Administrators have the opportunity to monitor the utilization of RAM, CPU and ROM using line cards and routing and control modules, monitor the status of power sources (direction, current, power), as well as the power level and fan speed.
• new security policy settings — advanced password and user session management;
• Wi-fi network intrusion detection — the system processes WIDS events and notifies administrators of suspicious activity at access points;
• Fault-management — using templates to describe events and accidents, details of accidents at the access point level, including their normalization, are available.

In the interim versions 2.2.1–2.2.2, fixed migration errors, improved monitoring performance, and optimized work with the network map.
