Advanced integrations and enhanced security: an update for the SMG IP PBX

New firmware version for the SMG series of IP PBX systems

We have updated the firmware for the IP PBX SMG series. The new version 3.410 is designed to improve system stability and offer enhanced integration capabilities.

One of the key new features is API support, which allows SMG to integrate with external services and business applications, such as CRM systems. It is also possible to manage device configuration via REST requests, receive real-time events via WebSocket, and initiate calls from external systems using the Click-to-Call feature.

"In this version, we focused on the system's operational maturity. We added tools that simplify daily work with the equipment: expanded monitoring capabilities, provided greater flexibility in configuring features, implemented a REST API, and fixed bugs. At the same time, we have enhanced security: implementing centralized authentication via TACACS+, improving password policies, and refining the group-based role-based access model. As a result, the system is now more predictable in operation and easier to administer in infrastructures of any scale.”

In addition, we are expanding data protection capabilities at the hardware level. The SMG-200 model features a mechanical lock for the SD card slot that can be sealed. This solution prevents unauthorized removal of the storage medium and data tampering.

The new features for SMG further advance the IP-PBX as a versatile solution for corporate and carrier networks. Learn more about the product and testing opportunities from Eltex specialists: foreign.sales@eltex-co.ru.
