We are launching large-scale testing of the vESBC software session border controller. You can now download the full version and try out a range of functional capabilities from VoIP infrastructure security to comprehensive traffic routing.
What vESBC can do
vESBC is a software version of our ESBC-3200 session border controller, that fully replicates the functionality of the hardware platform. The solution protects the VoIP infrastructure of operators and corporate customers, isolates the internal network, and ensures reliable telephony operation even in complex scenarios.
All features are available in the trial version:
- network topology hiding and protection against unauthorized access;
- encryption of signaling and media traffic;
- DoS/DDoS and SIP attacks prevention, advanced SIP-flood and SIP-spoof protection;
- translation and normalization of signaling and media protocols;
- flexible call routing based on customizable rules;
- audio/video transcoding;
- SIP header manipulationusing PCRE regular expressions;
- traffic control – limiting incoming/outgoing traffic;
- WebRTC (ICE) support for browser-based applications;
- subscriber authentication via RADIUS server.
The session border controller also supports other security, routing, and media traffic processing features. We discuss these in more detail in the "Solutions" section.

The trial version offers full functionality, but it is limited to six simultaneous connections.
Where to get
The vESBC file is available on the product page on the Eltex website. The solution can be integrated into existing virtualization systems, such as KVM, Oracle VirtualBox, VMWare ESXi.
