MES24xx and MES3400-xx switches now support stacking

An important update has been released for MES24xx and MES3400-xx series switches. The update introduces a stacking feature that allows up to 8 devices to be combined into a single logical device. This makes it possible to increase the number of ports without complicating the network architecture, provide device-level redundancy, and enable centralized management.

Stacking is supported for all MES24xx and MES3400-xx models, except MES2408x and MES2428. One or two 10 Gbps SFP+ ports are used for stacking. Devices can be stacked in a linear or ring topology.

To add the stacking mode, download the firmware and update your device. The firmware is available on the Eltex official website in the “Documents and files” section. Manuals covering stacking configuration can be also found there.
