Eltex expands its data center switch portfolio with MES5320-24

We are expanding our data center switch portfolio with the new MES5320-24 model. The device is designed for implementing the core layer across organizations in various industries: banking and telecommunications, industrial enterprises, government institutions, retail and IT companies, and more. The new model is also suitable for high-performance aggregation. In data centers, it can be deployed as a Top-of-Rack or End-of-Row solution.

The switch is equipped with 24 × 25G SFP28 interfaces and 2 × 100G QSFP28 interfaces. Its switching capacity reaches 1.6 Tbps.

MES5320-24 is suitable for building the core layer using network interface cards with throughput of up to 10/25 Gbps. This configuration also enables convenient integration with our latest service routers, ESR-3250 and ESR-3350.

In the enterprise segment, MES5320-24 can be used at the aggregation layer, where traffic transmission of up to 25 Gbps is required from the access layer to the aggregation layer and up to 100 Gbps from the aggregation layer to the network core. The optimal architecture for future projects will be to deploy the new model together with the MES2310-48DP and MES2310-12XU access switches, which are currently under development.

To ensure resilience and scalability, MES5320-24 supports a set of mechanisms:

• stacking of up to 8 devices;
• support for MLAG;
• hot-swappable power supplies;
• BFD support for BGP and OSPF to accelerate neighbor failure detection;
• support for EVPN/VXLAN.

The switch features a MAC table with up to 262,000 entries, ensuring reliable operation in networks with a large number of endpoints.
