Beyond Gigabit: Eltex to Showcase High-Speed Access Technologies at ICTWEEK Uzbekistan

From September 22 to 25, Eltex will participate in ICTWEEK Uzbekistan 2026 in Tashkent. At Booth C4, we will showcase our own high-speed access solutions for service provider and enterprise networks.

The transition to multi-gigabit speeds is already becoming part of the local market agenda. In 2025, fixed broadband services offering speeds of up to 10 Gbps were launched in Uzbekistan. While the service is currently available only in selected areas of Tashkent, its introduction marked a new stage in the development of optical infrastructure and multi-gigabit services.

Eltex will bring its 10G-PON equipment to Tashkent. The solution is designed for network segments with high volumes of bidirectional traffic and multiple bandwidth-intensive services operating simultaneously.

The wireless part of our showcase will feature enterprise Wi-Fi 7 access points supporting MLO, MRU, and multi-gigabit wired interfaces. We will also present Eltex wireless broadband bridges for establishing links between remote sites where laying cable is difficult or impractical.

GPON and FTTx remain the foundation of mass-market connectivity, while the launch of the country’s first service offering speeds of up to 10 Gbps indicates where the next stage of development is heading. The transition will be gradual: operators need to increase capacity in areas where there is actual demand while preserving their investments in existing networks. In the enterprise segment, demand for higher-performance infrastructure will be driven by cloud services, growing video traffic, and the need to connect distributed sites. This makes solutions that can be deployed incrementally and integrated into existing networks particularly relevant.”
